n a huge win for the project manage-
ment profession, the Program Manage-
ment Improvement and Accountability
Act (PMIAA) was signed into law in the
United States in December 2016. Strongly
supported by PMI, this first-of-its-kind law
will enhance best practices in project and
program management throughout the
