U.S. Government Forum
Explores Stimulus Programs and Best Practices
By Monte Davis, PMI Executive Communications Specialist
he theme that runs
through everything we
will hear today is learn-
ing,” said PMI Director Jon
Mihalic, PMP, as he welcomed
guests to the PMI U.S. Govern-
ment Forum on 16 June. The focus
of the forum was federal stimulus
programs with an emphasis on
best practices.
Mr. Mihalic pointed out that the
implementation of federal stimulus
programs during a deep recession
teaches both civil servants and con-
tractors that effectiveness “matters
every day to people and businesses
that are really hurting,” adding: “We
have not only a pro-
fessional, but a moral
obligation to get better at it. In
other words, to learn.”
