Despite the eruption of the Eyjafjallajökull vol- cano in Iceland, which disrupted air traffic
throughout Europe and closed the
Milan airport the day before, the
PMI® Global Congress 2010—EMEA,
held on 10-12 May in Milan, Italy,
was a huge success.
Nearly 900 attendees from
about 60 countries attended more
than 50 seminars and workshops,
and took advantage of countless
networking opportunities over the
three days.
Congress attendees had a wide
choice of presentations from which
they could learn—many of which
emphasized project management
as a strategic discipline. Workshops
on soft skills and leadership proved
to be popular, as did those that
focused on project management offices (PMOs) and
change management. The
